Leave your legacy in fabric

Communal work with fabric, bringing us all together

Do you want to help create a nationwide chaotic collage in fabric? Or would you like to create your own hanging for a community space, school or organisation?

Together, Grace and I have years of experience working with people of all ages and abilities.  Working together, could we help you to create something that would inspire future generations?

We have experience working with all students, and years worth of experience with learning disabled people of all ages and abilities, and we would happily organise courses for all needs.

We’ve found that creating art together is therapeutic and rewarding for all involved.  Do get in touch to organise something, or just to talk through your ideas!

Dizzy Day – Victorian Crazy Patchwork

February 2015, Elsdon Village Hall
The sun streamed through the windows, the hall filled with people who spent 4 hours exploring the mounds of fabric to create their own crazy patchwork piece to take home. The buzz of chatter and background of colour made the day very memorable!
Here are some examples of the day’s creations:

Grand Designs!

We have run two free community one-day workshops, the first in tranquil Tarset and second in bustling Newcastle.  These were preliminary taster sessions for a bigger project, the Spiral Project, which we hope to roll out nationwide someday as a community event.

Newcastle Spiral

Newcastle Spiral Pilot

We had a brill time in Newcastle too, for our second community pilot project of the Spiral. This day turned out to be one of surprises. Our expected outcome of the day was that we would produce a large hanging, depicting everyone’s views on what they felt was important in life.

However, as the day unfolded it took on a different guise.
